I remember during the first four (4) years of us doing the Visita Iglesia, we are going through the route of Trece – Indang – Mendez – Tagaytay – Silang – Dasma – Imus – Kawit – Noveleta – Tanza. But since last year, we are being transported by our car named Peter giving a lot more of convenience for us. And if we were doing just the two of us (dadi and myself) before now we are five when we did it.
Even with the comfort of just sitting in the car my prince still complaint about being tired and ask his dad to carry him at our last stop for the thirteenth and fourteenth station.
It’s been four (4) years since we do our first Visita Iglesia together with my hubby’s motoring (driving motorcycle) friends. There’s not much of a difference on how we did it this time except that we were doing this thing alone (just the two of us) since year 2012. We went through the same route starting our first station at St. Jude Parish in the town of Trece Martires Cavite followed by the churches at Indang, Mendez, Silang, La Sallette (in Silang as well), SM Dasma (afront), Dasmarinas Town proper , Imus, San Miguel Parish (Kawit), St. Mary Magdalene (Kawit too), Panamitan (a chapel in Kawit – a new addition to our itinerary), Noveleta, Rosario and ended it up at our own town (cu rrently) in Tanza.
It makes me wonder how we finished it a little earlier this time, could it be because we skipped the Fatima church or probably due to not being able to bring a camera for us to have some picture taking at each church. On the other hand, it is such a huge relief that we were able to fulfill our yearly Maundy Thursday devotion.
Since last year, we have made a devotion to perform Visita Iglesia (Church Visit) every Maundy Thursday. So last April 5 we have decided to do it within nearby Cavite towns just the two of us. We started at Our Lady of Fatima in Binakayan, Kawit , Cavite. Afterwards, we headed to St. Mary Magdalene Parish in Poblacion, Kawit, Cavite. We proceeded to Holy Cross parish at Noveleta, Cavite then to Most Holy Rosary Parish in Rosario, Cavite where we had our first coffee. Next to it was the Holy Cross Parish in Tanza, Cavite also known as the St. Augustine Church. We moved towards Resurrection Parish in Julugan but we found no station of the cross when we get there so we decided to go instead to the Sto. Rosario Parish in Amaya, Tanza. Our last stop is at Sta. Clara, Chuch in Malabon, Gen. Trias, Cavite. Tiring as it may seems but this was the simplest form of sacrifice that we did for the Holy Week.
During our Visita Iglesia last week, St. Mary Magdalene Parish in Kawit, Cavite was one of those churches in our itinerary. There is where we had our twelfth station of the cross.
While we were there, the multi purpose hall beside the church caught our attention. They built an altar made up of flowers. It was just beautiful. No one and nothing stopped me from taking its picture.
Let’s take a closer look.
This is indeed
And will even be more beautiful if only I have used a better camera . =)
